Swansea General Baptist Church Deeds

Scope and Content

Swansea General Baptist Church deeds, 1758-1852.

Administrative / Biographical History

In 1689 the Baptists established a meeting house on a site in the present High Street, Swansea, then above the old north gate of the town. The site later became known as Baptist Court and remained in existence until the 1930s. The chapel was apparently no longer in use by the end of the 19th century.
