Scope and Content

Contains deeds, leases, rent rolls, plans, and maps relating to land in Brecon (1472), Llanguicke in the lordship of Gower (1505), St Thomas Cilybebyll (1528), Myddfai in Carmarthenshire (1623), the estate of Humphrey Mackworth of Gnoll (Llangyfelach, Cadoxton, Llantwit, Baglan, Glyncorrwg, Aberavan, Neath, Caegurwen, Roath, Cardiff etc) (1736), Llansamlet and Llanelli (1813), Cadoxton, Cilybebyll and Ystradgynlais (c1856), and Ynispenllwch Estate (1839). There is also a volume of 18th century copies of surveys, inquisitions, rentals and deeds (originals dated 1570-1728) for the Neath area (c1750), and memoranda relating to a mineral estate at Drum Mountain, Nantstalwn, Penygraig and Nant Stalwn Ucha (Abercrave), with a general account of the South Wales coal and iron trade and a detailed description of the properties (1839).
