Administrative / Biographical History

Dora Margaret Cuthill was born on 29 June  1921  in Glasgow, the daughter of George Macadam Cuthill, a marine engineer. She was a matriculated student of the  University of Glagow during  1940-1944  . In her first year academic session 1940-1941, she studied Geography (Ordinary), Geology (Ordinary) and Maths (Ordinary); in the second year session 1941-1942, Geography II and Geology II; in the third year session 1942-1943, Geography (Higher III) and Botany (Ord) and in the fourth year session 1943-1944, Geography Honours. She graduated on 21 October  1944  with a BSc(Pure). By 1949 she was a civil servant inGlasgow and in 1960 she moved to London.
