Folders contain research carried out by Hale on behalf of Kathleen Tynan (wife of Kenneth), to be used for a biography she was writing about her late husband. Research includes correspondence, articles and interviews. Some are handwritten and/or annotated, all date from 1985-1986.
The research materials include interview transcripts, images, correspondence, picture research, a copy of The National Theatre at the Old Vic 1963-1971: A Pictorial Record and a photograph depicting Kenneth Tynan (theatre critic) and Richard Findlater (journalist and critic) as undertakers, mourning the death of the National Theatre, taken on London's South Bank, 1959.
