Administrative / Biographical History
Formed in 1974, the Neath and Tennant Canals Trust (known prior to 2006 as the Neath and Tennant Canals Preservation Society) exists to secure the preservation of the Neath and Tennant Canals in the Neath Valley, Glamorganshire. As well as undertaking work to restore the canal themselves, the Trust has campaigned for the implementation of a regeneration strategy, and worked to protect it from developments.
