THE MIDLAND COUNTIES' ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND RECORDS

Scope and Content

The Midland Counties' Association for the Blind was founded in 1908 to ensure co-operation between local societies for the blind, such as that for Oxford (see O112 above), for all the Midland counties, and encourage the creation of local associations where none previously existed. The reports provide news from all local societies, including Oxford's.

The records were deposited in 1980, and formed part of Accession 1963 (the remainder of this accession has been catalogued as O110-O112).

Catalogued by Robin Darwall-Smith in July 1993.
