'A Lane to the Land of the Dead'

Draft material relating to 'A Lane to the Land of the Dead', a collection of short stories by Adele Geras. The file includes typescript drafts, bearing occasional annotations, of all the stories included in the book, except 'The Interview' and 'Whispers from Hotel California' ['The Phantom in the Library' is included under what appears to be its original title of 'The Cavalier']; two pages of manuscript notes on the stories, in Geras' hand; one photocopied page on the history of Didsbury Library; two letters from Hamish Hamilton, the book's publisher; black and white photocopies of three photographs, showing the three figures of Angel, Mickey and Priss used on the cover of the book; and a colour copy of the artwork for the book cover.
