Draft manuscripts and typescripts for all five books in the 'Mennyms' series, along with a proposal and script for a television adaptation of the first book in the series. The drafts reflect Waugh's increasing use of a word processor in writing her books. Complete hand-written first drafts exist for the first three books in the series, which were then typed up by Waugh on her word processor for editing. However, the hand-written first drafts of the fourth and fifth books in the series are only partial, as by this date Waugh was increasingly typing first drafts of chapters on the word processor without hand-writing them first. Copies of these word-processed files were not deposited with the collection.
The series also contains a file of material relating to a musical adaptation of 'The Mennyms' written by a student, Lyndsay Barnbrook, while undertaking a Masters in Composition at the University of Southampton in 2007.
