Copy of Court Roll, Manor of Oystermouth, before John Bowen, steward of the manor, at Blackpill, recording that John Knift comes to the court and surrenders to the hands of the steward all that customary house and lands in his tenure, and all those closes or parcels of arable and waste land in the parish and manor of Oystermouth, called The Pulks (2a), Little Pulke (1/2a), Glady Husty (Lady Housty, Newton) (3/4a), Millans (1a), Coprum Field (1a), Three Acres (3/4a), Langland (1a), Broomhill (1a), The Croft by the House (1a) and Summerland (1a), to be held by David Madocke in trust for the use of John Knift and Ann his wife during his lifetime, to pass to their heir after his decease, and also lands called The Orchard lying in Horsestone field (2a), Horsestone (2a), The Oake lying in Horsestone field (1 1/2a), Underhill (1/2a) and a building called The Kitchin, facing the said house, to be held by David Madocke in trust for the use of John Knift during his lifetime and to the use of Ann his wife after his decease, to pass to their heir after her death. 30 May 1671D/D Z 451/1
