The Woman's Institute of Domestic Arts and Sciences Ltd began as a subsidiary of ICS Ltd, created in 1916 in the USA and in 1919 in the UK. The name was later changed to The Institute of Domestic Arts Ltd 1960. By 1981 it was a subsidiary of the Intertext Group Ltd and the company was dissolved in 1982 during the Intertext Group Ltd corporate restructure..
