Born in Bottisham Mill, Cambridgeshire.

Peter Dolman acquired the albums after the death of Henry Charles Cross, and has added approximate dates and corrected some of the place names.
A photograph of Cross and the following note have been pasted by Peter Dolman in the front of the first album: 'This Collection of Pictures was put together by Henry Charles Cross from the mid 20's to the late 60's. He was born at Bottisham Mill, Cambridgeshire c. 1910. In 1930 his family took Haverhill Annular Mill which they worked until 1933. They were also millers at Fulbourne. He suffered a stroke in 1971 which left him paralysed. He died February 1985.'
