Sefydlwyd Cymdeithas Ddinesig Porthaethwy a'r Cylch ym 1973 ac mae'n gysylltiedig ag Ymddiriedolaeth Ddinesig Cymru. Mae'n ymwneud â diogelu banciau Afon Menai rhag ecsbloetio a sicrhau bod yr amgylchedd lleol yn cael ei ddiogelu rhag gor-ddatblygu. / The Menai Bridge & District Civic Society was founded in 1973 and is affiliated to the Civic Trust for Wales. It is concerned to protect both banks of the Menai Straits from exploitation and to ensure that the local environment is protected from over development.
