Administrative / Biographical History

Marion Forrest Abernethy was born on 5 November 1914 and was an arts student at the University of Glasgow from 1931-1936  . In her first year, 1931-1932, she studied French and German and in the next academic session she took French, German and Moral Philosophy. In her third year, 1934-1935, she took French (Hons) and German (Hons) , whilst in her final year, 1935-1936, she studied German and French. She graduated MA in 1936  with honours in French and German. She went on to become a teacher.
