These large hard-bound volumes contain correspondence, printed ephemera, newspaper cuttings, periodical articles, photographs and sketches relating to George Sims and his dramatic works; there are also pieces relating to his wife (Elizabeth), sister-in-law (Gertrude Wykes), niece (Minty Lamb) and dogs. They provide an insight into the activities of the Sims family as well as demonstrating how Sims's dramas were promoted and critically received.
