Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Rita Skipton lived in the same house on Wenham Place, Neath throughout her life, where she looked after her parents into their old age. She died during her 90s. The Skipton family were all well read, and sometimes entertained famous musicians when they visited the area. Her sister Vera, featured amongst the photographs, became a minor film star during the 1930s. On Rita Skipton's death, her photographs were passed to Anne Doddridge of Neath, who in turn donated them to the Women's Archive of Wales.
