Administrative / Biographical History

This collection is a cumulative one and consists of a number of disparate, discrete recordings received by the Archive Service. Some are oral history interviews, while others are recordings of talks, services, assemblies, sounds and so on. The recordings are mostly on magnetic tape, either in reel-to-reel or cassette format, but some are digital recordings.

Reel-to-reel tape entitled Miss Deanie Behenna, with note that Miss Behenna was headmistress of Brynmill Secondary Girls School, retiring c. 1965. The recording is apparently of a presentation by Miss Behenna, to a mixture of children and adults, including the annual report of Brynmill County Secondary School for GirlsT 22

Cassette tape produced by the Dylan Thomas Society, Wales Branch, entitled Dylan Thomas Remembered. Side 1 consists of reminiscences by Elis Jenkins, Armel Diverres, Wynford Vaughan-Thomas, Evelyn Burman-Jones, Doreen Allen, Ruby Graham, John Griffiths, Daniel Jones, Pamela Hansford-Johnson, Gwen Watkins, Ethel Ross and Aeronwy Thomas Ellis. Side two consists of extracts read from the works of Dylan Thomas.T 23
