Administrative / Biographical History
The Loughor Charitable Appeals Committee was formed in 1981 following the Lliw Valley National Eisteddfod: the committee which had formed to raise money for this event was so successful that it decided to continue by fund-raising for local charities. An annual series of events was organised until 2000 when, membership having dwindled, the remaining funds were divided between different causes and the committee disbanded.
