Administrative / Biographical History
Based in Swansea, the Swansea Drugs Project began in 1983 under the name Swansea Advice on Narcotics and Drugs (SAND), with the mission statement "The Swansea Drugs Project is a community-based agency which exists to provide specialist confidential help and support to drugs users in Swansea; to help them to live healthier lives; to minimise physical, social and legal problems related to their drug use".
