Associated Thread Sales Ltd, selling agents, Leicester, England, was incorporated in September  1934  with a capital of £100. There were two major shareholders,  I P Clarke & Co Ltd, thread manufacturers, Leicester, and  Needlewoman Ltd, textile manufacturer, London, England. The company was appointed sole selling agent in Great Britain for  J & P Coats Ltd, thread manufacturers, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, and Needlewoman Ltd except for the goods the latter sold in their retail shop at Regent Street, London, and the Needlewoman Magazine. In  1936 , I P Clarke & Co transferred their shares to Needlewoman Ltd and so the registered office was moved from Leicester to London. In 1942 it was moved to Brentford, Middlesex, England. In 2012, Associated Thread Sales Ltd was still active with offices in Manchester.
