A selection of small sketches, featuring mainly floral, leafy and vegetative patterns, and predominantly green in colour. 'Verdure' usually refers to tapestries characterized by a design that is dominated by dense green foliage, particularly such tapestries created during the Renaissance. Some designs have been attached in multiples to one sheet of paper and in such cases, no dominant colour has been recorded.
