They include obituaries of local personalities, notes on local placenames (including ‘Enwau Plwyf Margam’), ‘Neath and District Antiquities’ by Glen A. Taylor, D. H. Jones et al., members of the Neath Antiquarian Society, ‘Catholicism in penal times: how Glamorgan was robbed of the faith’ by the Rev. J. M. Cronin, and a column on the history of the area by the Aberavon and Margam District Historical Society, of which James O’Brien was a member. Also includes bundle of loose papers, cuttings, photographs of Margam Abbey west front and the chapter house, c. 1930s, and typescript article by J. O’Brien, JP, entitled ‘Catholicism in Neath’.
