Administrative / Biographical History
The Weig Brick and Tile Company worked clay pits around the Cockett area, mainly on Weig Fawr Farm. Its works were at a site to the south of Carmarthen Road, at the end of Ael-y-Bryn Road, Fforestfach. Many of the houses in the Glanmôr and Sketty areas are built of bricks from these works.
