Complete photocopy of annotated, draft typescript of 'Tom's Midnight Garden', written by Philippa Pearce and first published in 1958. The draft bears the title 'The Garden', and a note in Pearce's hand on the first page reads 'This version not amended. Minor cuts throughout; major cuts in first 6 chapters; last chapter cut entirely and chapter XXVI much cut'. The photocopy typescript is bound and covered in green buckram.
