Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Political theatre company founded in 1965 by Roland Muldoon, Claire Burnley [later Muldoon], Raymond Levene and David Hatton. The membership becomes fluid, especially after 1972 but the Muldoons remain at its core. Folds in 1985 when its Arts Council funding is withdrawn.
Note on names: CAST theatre troupe registered under the business name CAST Presentations Ltd. For simplicity the group will be referred to mainly as CAST, however the two names are essentially interchangeable.
