Scope and Content

The volume contains 18th-century copies, apparently in most cases contemporary, preceded by an Index, of: (folios 1-96) memorials, official correspondence, reports and similar papers which were enclosed in Viscount Mount Stuart's dispatches, January 1780 - November 1782; (folios 97-441) treaties, miscellaneous official correspondence and political papers. Among the latter are:

  • Mémoires et Negotiations Secrets de la Cour de Turin, contenant les relations que Monsieur De Phelippeaux, Ambassadeur de France â Turin, a ècrites au Roi, son Maître [25 October 1703 - 21 May 1704], avec... autres Mémoires au sujet de la Guerre d'Italie, 1704 (folios 97-179);
  • Lettre d'un Ministre â un de ses Amis contenant le sujet de l'abdication du Roy Victor en faveur de Charles Emanuel, son fils, Roy de Sardaigne (folios 181-200);
