Administrative / Biographical History

Isabella Gordon Porter was born in Glasgow, Scotland in c1897. Porter began studying at the  University of Glasgow in  1916  , taking Latin and French in her first year. In her second year she studied English, Latin and Geology. In her third and final year she studied Moral Philosophy, Political Economy and French (Higher). She graduated MA in  1919  and went on to pursue a career in teaching.
