Mr Lees was a great patron of the Arts who was able to help local Committees to get exhibits for their local Exhibitions. Mrs Merrett hopes to send something for the local Exhibition next year. Envelope also present and copy of her painting 'Love locked out' bought by the Chantry Bequest. [Merrett was the the first woman artist to have one of her pictures bought by the Chantry bequest].
