Administrative / Biographical History
Division 7 is an administrative division of the Iron and Steel Trades Confederation Executive Council and represents a distinct geographical area which covers the iron and steel districts of Lancashire, North Wales and Cheshire with its divisional office in Manchester. Within Division 7 are local branches based on the workplace unit. There were seven divisions of the ISTC inall, each with its own divisional officer. There were also Divisional Committees which met each half year.
