Records: Holyhead Harbour bye - laws, 1905 - 1929.

Administrative / Biographical History

Holyhead Harbour was developed by the Chester and Holyhead Railway Company for its services to Ireland; it was designated the competent authority to issue bye-laws concerning the use of the port. This reponsibility passed to the LNWR when it bought the Chester and Holyhead Railway in 1859, and then to the LMS after the 1923 Grouping.
