Containing swatches of fabric and the dates created. The earlier volumes were created by J & A Ogilvie which were bought out by Harrisons and contain damask patterned fabric. Some are also from subsidiary Porter and Harding. Books labelled L contain more coloured and patterned fabrics which may have been for ladieswear. Later books contain swatches of cashmere, worsted fabrics, vicuna, crombies, tartan and camel hair as well as tweed. Two feature samples of the Burns Check design created by the company.
