GOLDEN GROVE (LLANASA) ESTATE DEEDS

Scope and Content

Deeds, 1476-1877, mainly for Higher Kinnerton, 1590-1666, Chester, 1500-1722, the Henfryn estate in Trelawnyd and Gwaenysgor, Flintshire, and Abergele and Denbigh, Denbighshire, and the Golden Grove estate in Dyserth, Gwaenysgor, Llanasa and Trelawnyd, 1704-1877.

Administrative / Biographical History

The connection of the Morgan family with Llanasa dates from the sixteenth century, the oldest part of Golden Grove being built by Edward Morgan in 1578. The estate remained the property of the Morgans until its sale in 1877.
