WAR-TIME MEMORABILIA OF WILLIAM H. RIDGE

Scope and Content

The following documents were deposited in 1982 and were given accession number 1998.

Part of the accession has been disposed of as being of no long term historical value, but from this part it was clear that whilst William H. Ridge himself appears to have lived in Herefordshire, he had relatives in Kings Sutton. It is through this connection that the documents have come to us. All the documents would seem to have been kept as souvenirs of his time as a gunner during the Second World War, when he was stationed in the Middle East.

Catalogued by E. Roberts, December 1993.
