Bladon is located 10 miles north east of Oxford. The parish was united with Woodstock in 1877.
Many of the records in this collection were originally deposited at the Bodleian Library by the rector of Bladon and Bladon PCC in 1976 in 1982. Two registers (PAR35/1/R3/4 & PAR35/1/R5/2) were deposited at Oxfordshire Record Office in 1988. Other records were deposited by the clerk to Bladon Parish Council as Acc 1291 in July 1976 and as Acc 1313 in October 1976. The rest of the material was deposited in as Acc 5424 in July 2005, as Acc 5746 in May 2008 and as Acc 6596 in July 2017. A conspectus of old and new references is included at the end of the catalogue.
