Records relating to Dan Matthews. Dan Matthews was born on the 9th of October 1876 at Pengelliddrain. He had four children named Annie, Ceinwen, Goronwy and Meredydd. Dan Matthews started as Cwmni y Wesle Fach drama society in 1901. Dan Matthews society (Cymdeithas y Ddrama Gymraeg) developed from Wesle Fach during the First World War and carried on until the end of the 1950s. Dan Matthews passed away on the 6th of February 1961.
