Langford is located in west Oxfordshire, close to the Gloucestershire border, approximately 18 miles west of Oxford.
The great majority of the records in this collection were originally held at the Bodleian Library, under shelfmark MSS.D.D.Par Langford, before being transferred to Oxfordshire Record Office in the 1980s. The collection was augmented by accession 5616, which was deposited in February 2007. The whole collection was recatalogued in December 2007 by Hannah Jones. A corcondance of old and new reference numbers is given at the rear of the hard copy catalogue.
