In 1914 Ross was invited to become Chairman of the Medical Committee of the British Science Guild and accepted the post because he felt it his duty to do so. Ross was a very active member of the British Science Guild during 1914 and 1915, after 1915 there are very few documents in the Ross Collection and from the list available for the Ross Archives (1973) it would appear that there is little or nothing there.
