Note
At the time of deposit, Jill Barton provided the following contextual note with the artwork for 'Little Mo': "I added Little Mo's scarf to help flow and movement. It proved a handy 'prop' for her to tread on while trying to get up, and for her to fling over her shoulder to show her determination to get up and carry on. It took on a life of its own, becoming considerably longer towards the end spread. But it was a knitted scarf and knitted scarves always stretch, at least that's what I told myself. A mistake to spot - On the cover, note the unpainted pad on the left-hand big polar bear's foot. We all missed it before publication and now, whenever I look at the book, it's first thing I look at. That is the thing about publishing, you are stuck with your mistakes."
