Papers relating to Professor Blair-Bell's private and general practice, including case records for cancer patients seen by the Liverpool Medical Research Organisation, patient invoices and payments, correspondence with patients regarding appointments, gynaecological procedures, diagnosis, treatment, and arrangements for patients entering the nursing home, research notes and draft papers, papers relating to his role as an examiner in obstetrics and gynaecology for the University of Wales, administrative papers relating to his role at the University of Liverpool, correspondence covering professional networks and visits, treatments and staffing of the organisation, papers relating to the foundation of the British College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a summary of the work of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department of the University at the end of Blair-Bell's professorship (1931), correspondence with his peers throughout the country relating to the administration of examinations in obstetrics and gynaecology, including with William Fletcher-Shaw, Herbert Leith Murray, Beckwith Whitehouse, and Miles Harris Phillips, correspondence with the University of Liverpool concerning postgraduate courses and funding, including a copy of the examination papers in obstetrics and gynaecology held at the University of Liverpool (December 1929 - December 1930), and research papers relating to ovarian neoplasms; together with an account (author unknown) of the investigations carried out in the pharmacological department of the Liverpool Medical Research Organisation from 1934, relating to pharmacological tests on lead preparation, and instructions from the Department of Pathology at the University of Liverpool regarding the transfusion of stored blood at the Merseyside War Blood Bank, and an interesting sketch of the equipment used for blood transfusions (1936-1939).
