Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
This sealing voyage saw two ships from different American ports sail together from the Falkland Islands. Huron from New Haven was captained by Davis while Huntress captained by Christopher Burdick was from Nantucket. This was one of many American sealing voyages dispatched to the southern oceans during the nineteenth century.
