Administrative / Biographical History
The Women's Gas Federation was set up to encourage the domestic use of gas, particularly for cooking, and provide information on home management, kitchen design, smoke abatement etc, with the stated aim of improving home life. The Federation ceased to exist on 31st December 1993.
