Administrative / Biographical History

Robert Leishman qualified MD (Hnrs) Glasgow 1948; MB ChB 1932; FRCP Glas 1964. He won the Treacher Collins Prize in 1954. He was the author of the chapter “Cardiovascular System” in Modern Ophthalmology edited by Professor Arnold Sorsby, 1963; “Gastric Function in Tobacco Amblyopia” Transactions of the Ophthalmological Societies of the United Kingdom 1951 and “Eye in General Vascular Disorder” British Journal of Ophthalmology, 1957. He was Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow.
