Baron Alexander de Gelsey (1924-2006) was an entrepreneur who played a role in the economic development of his adopted county of Kent and his native land of Hungary after the fall of communism. He was appointed CBE in 1989 and Deputy Lieutenant of Kent in 1991. Alexender de Gelsey lived at 27 Ennismore Gardens, London SW7 from 1963, and at The Old Rectory, Boughton Church House, Canterbury from 1973
