This document was deposited in 1981 as accession 1775. Its provenance is rather unusual as it was found in a bottle on the site of a disused cinema in Watlington. The cinema has since become the Watlington Memorial Club, it was previously the malthouse and then the Temperance Lecture Hall. The bottle that contained the parchment has been deposited with the County Museum Service.
