Administrative / Biographical History

Ian Robb MacIntyre gained his medical qualifications M.B. Ch.B. from Glasgow University in 1932. He was a House Surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and House Physician at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley before practising in Lochgoilhead, Argyll working with and then succeeding his father who was also a G.P. He was married to Winnie Hutchison of Scotstoun, Glasgow. She died in 1996. MacIntyre was a great friend of the neurosurgeon Sloan Robertson.
