Administrative / Biographical History
The Pontardawe Civic Society was established in 1983 as a community action group with the aim of promoting issues affecting the town of Pontardawe. Matters dealt with by the society include cleansing, rights of way issues, the creation and siting of memorials to famous local people and regeneration of the town. The society was disbanded in 2016.
