Drafts, correspondence and pre- and post-publication material relating to five of Nina Bawden's published titles for children. The collection includes typescript drafts of 'Granny the Pag', 'The Real Plato Jones' and 'St Francis of Assisi'; files of correspondence, contracts and publicity material relating to 'Granny the Pag', 'The Real Plato Jones', 'Carrie's War' & 'The Peppermint Pig'; and recordings of audio and video dramatisations of 'Carrie's War' and 'The Peppermint Pig'. The collection also contains selected copies of printed books, including UK first editions of Nina Bawden's books for children, a copy of her autobiography and representative foreign editions of 'Granny the Pag', 'The Real Plato Jones', 'Carrie's War' and 'The Peppermint Pig'.
