Edna Mair Jenkins was born on 18 April 1908 to Tudor Morgan Jenkins and Lotty Margaret Billings. The family moved to Northway House, Bishopston in 1923. In 1935 Mair married John Westcott Thompson (Jack) at Argyle Chapel, St Helens Road, Swansea with the reception at the family home. Mair died on 14 April 1994.
