Administrative / Biographical History
Frances Lewis was the aunt of the depositor. She married Mr J. J. Wilkins during the 1940s, and was a prominent member of the Swansea Branch of the Independent Order of Foresters, a women's masonic organisation. Her sister, Gwyneth Lewis, was the depositor's mother, and served as an Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) driver during the Second World War. In 1953, the sisters attended together the coronation of HRH Queen Elizabeth II.
