Dummy version of an unpublished picture book entitled 'Wake the World'. 'Wake the World' was conceived by Philippa Pearce and Gillian McClure as a sequel to 'The Little White Hen' (Andre Deutsch, 1996), but was never published. The dummy features rough pencil sketches, with printed text taped into position on each page. The file also contains a photocopy of a letter from Philippa Pearce to the publisher David Fickling, dated 24 October 1996, discussing 'Wake the World'.
