The records are relating to Bethel Calvinistic Church. The Calvinistic Methodists were formed in 1811, now known as the Presbyterian Church of Wales; they adopted a presbyterian system of church government of a centralising character, in contrast with the Baptists and Congregationalists. Bethel Calvinistic Methodist Church, Water Street, Taibach, Port Talbot was founded in 1852.
